George Coleman
Why are you a CFI?
Because that way I get to fly with the best people!
Plus I enjoy helping others discover flight.
Biography
I'm too old for a short bio!
Grew up in New York City, thirteen years in the Navy driving submarines, electrical engineer in the commercial nuclear industry and now Hanford, married to a saint, one son in the Coast Guard.
Began flying in 1969 -- interrupted for military service, family, home, etc. and finally returned to flying in 1985, been active ever since.
Ground School Recommendation
It depends on the individual. Some folks are comfortable studying on their own, while others get more out of the classroom setting and interaction with others. I'm inclined to encourage the classroom due to the discussion that takes place there.
How long have you been instructing at Bergstrom?
Since April of 1999
Ratings
Commercial, Instrument, CFI, Airplane, single/multi-engine land
